Shrove Tuesday
Pancake Supper

February 17, 6-8 p.m. in the Parish Hall
All are invited to come let the good times roll on the eve of entering the holy season of Lent.
Wear your favorite Mardi Gras beads and costumes and be ready to jump into the second line! Pancakes and bacon provided by
St. James' Scout Troop 776.

Ash Wednesday

Imposition of ashes with Holy Communion
Noon and 7 p.m.

The first of the forty days of Lent, named for the custom of placing blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshipers. The ashes, a sign of penitence and a reminder of mortality, are imposed with the sign of the cross. Ash Wednesday is observed as a fast in the church year of the Episcopal Church.
